4WD rental in Mongolia

Our original plan from a few years ago was to drive our adapted Hilux to Mongolia (and back) but covid then Putin stopped that, for now at least.
I’m aware the political climate changes but we are thinking of missing the middle bit and flying to UB and renting a 4wd and doing a trip round the country, or some good bits at least. We also don’t have the free time to do a three month trip just now, which driving there and back would be.
Has anyone rented a similar vehicle and have a supplier to recommend?
I don’t want to join an organised tour, rather do our own thing.
Flights are easy and cheap via Istanbul.

I can’t recall reading too much on the forum about Mongolia as a destination, let alone vehicle (4x4) hire. I’d try Horizons Unlimited, as a possible starter.

That said, I see that two international car rental companies (SIXT and Avis) ply their trade in the country. Maybe try contacting them?

Yes, I thought worth asking just in case but I’ll go to HUL next. A simple search reveals a few companies who say they rent 4wd’s and some with roof tents but recommendations from actually using them are always good.
If I do find one and we go and it all works out I’ll be sure to put up a thread and recommend them, just in case anyone else has a similarly questionable idea

We used Khongor Guest House in Ulaan Bataar Alastair. Theyre still operating. They were most helpful to Sue and myself all those years ago.
Don't even know if its the same comapany, but I guess it is ...
