It's taken me a long time to get it up and running...I've done a lot of websites before, but this is the first time I've done a full on-line shop with all the back orifice type stuff, full inventory system, order tracking etc etc etc.

Anyway, it's now live and operational......I'll be putting on a Tossers discount code soon, but feel free to browse and buy (if you're a subsrcibed tosser and want to buy anything, let me know via PM or on the order form and I'll sort you out the discount until the actual coding gets sorted out)

You'll find ALL of
duritesmall.jpg
's products there in their catalogues, so that's switches, relays, lights, horns, wiring products, fuel pumps, connector blocks, DIN and cigarette lighter type sockets, beacons, LEDs, basically anything electrical for automotive/industrial/marine/4x4 use.

I'll be adding hundreds more parts over the coming weeks, but with just over 200 thousand lines, it's going to take time to get them all up :blast

Comments and criticisms welcome.....if you find something that doesn't work as well as it ought, please let me know :thumb2

The site will be going HTTPS shortly as well :beerjug:

I'm quite chuffed with it actually :bounce1

(there will be a load more adventure bike stuff going on soon...at the moment, there's not much, but we are still on stage 2 of prototype manufacture of some tasty bits of kit, so keep checking back!)

SHOP IS ON WEBSITE HERE :doh

Sounds exciting..... but you forgot to tell us where this web site is :comfort:D

When I click on the shop link from the main page I get this:

Request Timeout

This request takes too long to process, it is timed out by the server. If it should not be timed out, please contact administrator of this web site to increase 'Connection Timeout'.

BUGGERATION!!!

Getting the same.......can't even get onto the admin panel to do anything about it :eek

Fekkity fekk.

I wonder if I've overloaded our server :blast

Sorry chaps.......will try and resolve it asap :comfort

From the main page, you can still browse the whole Durite range....look under PARTS :thumb2

Small consolation I know......I'm pretty peed off right now

Yes, but that's the main website rather than the shop which hangs off it.
The main site has been up for months

Are you able to get onto the shop Greg?

Hi Bill no can do, from Ireland it has a 503 error

"Fixing 503 errors

The Web server is effectively 'closed for repair'. It is still functioning minimally because it can at least respond with a 503 status code, but full service is impossible i.e. the Web site is simply unavailable. There are a myriad possible reasons for this, but generally it is because of some human intervention by the operators of the Web server machine. You can usually expect that someone is working on the problem, and normal service will resume as soon as possible."

Agreed how do you get into the shop, it is below the "fold" a big fek off image, but Bill you should make a link to the shop on your navigation too, it is not as obvious to find as you might imagine.

On the left hand side Richie, there's an orange gecko with the words 'click here to go to new onlne shop'

The problem is, the part of the server that the shop is on isn't responding

I've added a nice bright red linky on the main menu bar.....thanks for the observations that it wasn't easy enough to find the shop links (amazing what a fresh set of eyes finds isn't it :D)

I've also raised a support ticket with the server hosts and hopefully will be able to get this sorted......If I have to start the shop build from scratch, I'm going to shit my pants

:JB Back up and running....it was a server maintenance issue according to the support ticket answer :)

Anyway.....fill yer boots :thumb2

I might be asking a real stupid question - but what does JA stand for?

They are the initials of the guy who founded the company.

Gert has owned it for about 10 years I think, but as with most Landy specialists dealing predominantly with old school farmers for the last 30 odd years, it isn't sensible to change it....farmers don't like change, oooo arrrrrrr no :rob
