Hi Folks

Having given up drinking I have 5 bottles of Port for sale.

All of the port has been stored correctly and on its side but unfortunately there are no boxes (threw them away when I bought the port as I did intend to drink them all).

I see the Woodhouse bottles are selling for £150+ but will let you make me an offer.

Would like to sell as a job lot for £450 ovno but would consider selling individual bottles.

Collection or meet up preferred near Newcastle Upon Tyne.

1x Smith Woodhouse 1996 Madalena Port
1x Grahams Six Grape Port
1x Taylor’s 2013 LBV Port
1x Croft 2002 Quinta Da Roeda Port
1x Smith Woodhouse 1998 Madalena Port

There is nothing like a really good vintage port. The lovely Mrs Derek's dad used to be an amateur collector and we inherited a number of bottles. Sadly all gone now. It's like drinking liquid velvet.

GLWS

Been doing some research and whilst the Smith Woodhouse bottles are selling for £150+ at auction the others are closer to £30-£50 per bottle so as a result I am willing to reduce the price to £375 for the 5 bottles.

Well done on giving up! IWNDWYT!
Ditto, and well done on doing without. I've done over 10 years dry now and considered I'd had more than my fair share for the previous 40 years.

Like a lot of us bikers, I am very much an individual, and don't really like being answerable to anyone (the wife excepted). So to be free from the lure of a glass of anything is very liberating albeit a little bit dull at times. In fact when I look at some of the pish that some people shove down their necks I'm glad I'm free of it. Only problem is what you drink as an alternative in a social setting.

glws btw ..... Port is a lovely drink for sure

If you like Guinness, the 0% version is phenomenal. I’d be hard pressed to tell the no alcohol from the alcohol version apart, other than you’re less likely to make a tit of yourself and certainly won’t have a hangover with the 0%

Oh, and good luck selling to the original poster. I bet that vintage port tastes gooooood

Been nearly 9 years now and have to say I don’t miss it a bit!

Used to drink every night but for pleasure (not because I needed a drink) but it caught up with me so after taking advice the Doc said enjoy a drink but don’t let 1 turn to 2 then 3 etc so I decided I had consumed enough over the years and gave up completely.

Sold my very extensive Whisky collection via an auction (made a good profit) and have these and some wine left.

Come on folks, this is a good collection to put down or enjoy.

Final price reduction and firm at £300 - i.e. no offers.

Also got a further bottle of the Smith Woodhouse 1998 (well it’s my mums) and for an extra £90 will include it (y)
