I have a 2024 six days one and wondered has anyone done this and if so, what is needed. Is it just a case of wheels, spacers, tyres and obviously different sprockets?

I had a 525EXC in Supermoto trim way back. I’m pretty sure that was about the extent of the changes.
There was a different front mudguard too.
The side stand wasn’t on it as the scrutineers probably would have wanted it come race time.
You may have to shorten the stand with the smaller 17” wheels.

It’ll be a hoot to ride that’s for sure. Let us know what you do and post photos if you do the conversion.

Adding another dimension to it is exactly what I'm after. I wouldn't have to worry about the side stand as I've got the Swiftkicker on it. That 701 looks great! Keep em coming guys.

On the EXC-f there isn’t the abs ring issue.
17”(or 16.5” racing wheels which was the original French invention setup) with spacers and smaller rear sprocket,
That’s it.
Many put a larger front disc and adapter bracket on it as road speeds are higher but that makes it a little more awkward swapping back to enduro unless you then run a larger disc on those wheels as well but that doesn’t hold up as well Offroad.
Never bothered with a different mudguard on the CRF450R I did,

Found one of his old threads

So, would it matter what year KTM 500 exc f the wheels came from if I could find some used ones or would it be better having some made as there's a wheel builder about 5 miles from where I am?

24 onwards have different rear spacers but can be made to fit using the right ones.
Basically 12-23 are the same bar certain front spindles on random ones.

Thanks Roti, that's good to know. I could always get some spacers made up if I ran into any problems

Ok, I've only just found out that those on eBay are from a 2023 350 exc f so nit sure if they share the same swingarm.

Up to 2023 are all the same rear. They changed the swingarm from 24 onwards.
It’s just a case of changing spacers for the correct diameter and width.
250/350/450/500 are the same bike bar engine casings.

I did this a long while ago to my 530 EXC.
17" wheels with a larger brake disc on the front and a new caliper support bracket.
I bought a new digital speedo cable so that I could leave the sensor attached to the bracket if I was swapping wheels around.
The piece of wood under the back wheel was to stop it falling over on the original stand.
I purchased a new stand and cut it down to suit, then I had two options depending on what wheels I had fitted.
My rear 17" wheel didn't have a cush drive, which I would say is recommended if you are going to use it on road for any length of time.
Without the cush it can feel quite coarse.
