I can only drive an MX5 with the roof off, they appear to be designed for those who are of diminutive stature.
Ha,ha. I had a man on a chainsaw course last summer he was telling me about driving his girlfriend’s MX5. He said it was challenging getting in and out at 6’7” tall.I can only drive an MX5 with the roof off, they appear to be designed for those who are of diminutive stature.
He is very tall but not very wideI really wanted one but just couldnt make it fit.
Without the roof, I would prefer the goldwing![]()
Thank you for your valued contribution, as alwaysYou really are an ignorant fucking slaphead prick !
Why have you got your knickers in a twist?Falling off a trials bike is slightly different to dropping a Goldwing on the road because you’re riding beyond your ability .
I’ve fallen off enduro bikes off-roading but have yet to drop my Goldwing , as I ride it within my abilities.
I hope you don’t take anybody out when you crash your road bikes . Suggest you ride on the track to push your limits rather than be a danger to other road users .
What is very strange is why you feel the need to comment in a thread that you have no interest , posting your usual dose of negativity and showing yourself to be very blinkered and a walking cliche machine .
But you’re right , I need to get out more away from the desk .Must travel more and try new things![]()
Non Tour ( ie the bagger) only comes in DCT . Think earlier ones may have had manual option .Don’t want to get in the middle of a wing scrap and my contribution isn’t worth much anyway…………but, if I only had one bike - it’d be a matt black bagger wing manual with no frills. Great bikes for the discerning palate![]()
Been over a year and we finally find something we agree on?! lolNon Tour ( ie the bagger) only comes in DCT . Think earlier ones may have had manual option .
They are amazing bikes , having spanked mine around the Picos and through Germany and Austria .
The handling belies its size and the hossack style front end gives a great ride .
The DCT was the clincher for me . Potter around two up in auto or when solo stick it in manual and have a play .
Fabulous bikes and if I had to only have one bike it would be the Wing .
Tried a 1600GT before I bought the Wing . Nice motor but found it too heavy and a bit lardy . Also went with the Honda for reliability and dealer support .When I was younger I always felt the need to buy a Goldwing but then I discovered the BMW K1600 GTSE.
The Goldwing is history.
Is this really necessary?
Never mind, you’ll come to your senses……eventuallyWhen I was younger I always felt the need to buy a Goldwing but then I discovered the BMW K1600 GTSE.
The Goldwing is history.

You’re guessing wrong then .Always had a sneaking admiration for them and have ridden them too but never quite did it enough for me to buy one.
I'm guessing the colour-scheme top-left was inspired by a trip to Wallyworld....

You never heard of a Wing Ding? Why have you got your knickers in a twist?![]()
That’s the name!, I’ve been trying to remember it. We were outside Appleyards on the fire appliance when a Goldwing owner dropped his trying to ride up onto the pavement. After watching him for a while it was agreed we should help him pick it up. It was very funny. The salesman Barry did mention it most times I went in for a couple of years after. I think they used to camp on the rugby Union ground. You never heard of a Wing Ding?
You never heard of a Wing Ding?
………..and there was also a lot of station wagons with the wood too in 1988. I’m guessing the wagons had the wood before the Wing. Just sayingYou’re guessing wrong then .
It actually tells you in the article attached
Amongst them is a combination of Eternal Gold and Mahogany Brown, which draws inspiration from the 1988 GL1500 variant – with unique badging also marking the special birthday.
