53rd Dragon Rally, anyone coming?

Any of you bringing your Airheads to this years Dragon Rally? Always a huge number of boxer engined machines in attendance.

Tis indeed sir, very popular in Us of A and DOES make a big difference. Lugs welded into the frame and aircraft alloy bolted to that...makes a great box section with little or no flex compared to standard. The less knowledgeable don't really get it !

Tyres are TKC 80's .... logo is a personal one as I hate the way BWM treated the BWM clubs using their logo a few years ago !

Hi Kenny - what sizes are those TKC's? I was looking for some dual purpose tyres for my R80 a while back but couldnt find any with matching front and rear in the standard sizes.

How do they perform on road generally? Suitable for year round use or really more offroad orientated? My bike is the 86 mono with the bigger front mudguard, do you think theres enough clearance on mine for those chunky treads?

I had tkc's on a 1150gs and they had more grip on the road than I could use, two up sporty riding over denbigh moors Tarmac.

Well, slightly damp to say the least...with a ahem, cough, still breeze thrown in. Campsite is a family affair/caravan jobbie but was shite for a Dragon Rally as everyone was spread out in lots of small different level plots intended for caravans etc. Club house was ok though for when the rain/wind came

I was on the gate between 10 and 1 on sat, proper soaked. I agree the site was unsuitable hopefully the gods of Conwy MCC will choose a better one for next year.

Just a big field to hold all the bikes...no clubhouse or bands......just talk bikes and bollix
