Fabulous - I want one
The Griso suspension was designed for a slim hipped italian of about 70kg the setup to go for is a Matris shock but what a few people have done is fit the shock from a 1200Stelvio it has a higher spring rate (the reason yours is stiff is probably because it is adjusted really tight) and is slightly longer so it speeds up the steering, looks better and improves the ground clearance and slightly improves the footres position which TBH I found ok once you were on the moveThanks Al. Tbh I haven’t found the knee bend too bad, but the longest I’ve been on it is about an hour. Weight on my hands is a different matter so yeah maybe some bar risers will be added. But I’m never going to be touring or doing very long distances on it so I may not bother. Exhaust…. I think I like the standard one you know. It’s got a cool look to it imho. My priority is probably to sort the suspension out first anyway. The rear shock is very rusty and the whole setup is unfeasibly stiff. I may get away with a bit of a fettle but I think a new shock will be needed.
I’m just happy to have it my garage. First bike I’ve owned where I’ve really let heart rule my head.
I have to disagree - I ordered a Matris and despite completing a form with all my vital statistics the shock arrived 'stiff as a board' and was like riding a plank. To be fair the supplier agreed to accept it back and refund the money. I then bought a Wilbers which fitted and rides superbly. Before ordering anything suspension related in future I would consult a suspension specialist like MCP who have no 'flesh in the game' in terms of selling you a particular unit and give good independent advice. They were not fans of Matris.......another UK member of the Griso Ghetto who is about 70/75kgs vs my 105kgs ordered a Matris which arrived identical spring rate to the one supplied to me. He persevered and got his to work after several fittings, replacement springs, adjustments etc. At £700 approx and marketed as a 'bespoke' build for your individual requirements it should have been good straight out of the box.....Wilbers has been faultless. The Griso suspension was designed for a slim hipped italian of about 70kg the setup to go for is a Matris shock but what a few people have done is fit the shock from a 1200Stelvio it has a higher spring rate (the reason yours is stiff is probably because it is adjusted really tight) and is slightly longer so it speeds up the steering, looks better and improves the ground clearance and slightly improves the footres position which TBH I found ok once you were on the move

Also consider a Beetle map for it

IF the wife’s heart consultant pulls his finger out and sends a letter saying she is all clear that means we can get some travel insurance again. If so there are Plans bubbling under that we will take the V85 over the pond in late spring and head east for a few weeks until turn back in Turkey or Georgia or Armenia. Or we might take the camper to Greece. Or we could come to Dent. If it’s Dent then yup the Griso will be there.Next question, will the Griso be coming to Dent?
