Yes for sure... So need it to stand so I can report on oil usage.. how many mm drop for 600 miles?

Actually, now at home and in the place I always measure the oil... and you are right... its not moved any at all 
And on the drive with the helmet off, it does not sound so bad either?... wonder why... sounds worst with helmet on?....

correction.. now its cooling, it has gone down maybe 2mm or so max... but guess they have to use some oil... or maybe its because it was over filled in the first place... will try find some threads on oil usage... not sure what BMW say is acceptable... prob 1 ltr in 1000 miles like on their cars !!

Move it around and you can get it to read what you want....
Oil change required so I have a starting point... and I'll mark on the floor where to read it.. then watch it from there.... Last owner said it never used a drop.. but not sure how close he looked... they will all use some....

yes.. thanks... true leve ground is the hard bit... just undulation in the garage floor has it reading 2mm out

Yep but only check 5 mins after a long ride on level ground, no use going around the block..............
