6000 mile service - where?

No service slot availability at NOG, BS (Alton) for the next 4 weeks . Right now at 5500 mls. Another 4 weeks ... will exceed 8000 mls. Any suggestions ... a good place where I can get her serviced? I am in the RG14 post code ... so somewhere down south east or south-west ... will work. Any recommendations much appreciated.

@stonehenge - thanks. Let me try Steptoe. Have had great feedback on him on this forum. Not sure if going out of the BMW 'authorised' setup will invalidate my warranty in any way. Have left a PM for Steptoe.

@Wapping - did not want to go to "anyone" ... only based on recommendations on inmates here.

@Nutty, if nothing else works it will have to be either Vines, Guilford or CW in Dorchester recommended by Stonehenge.

I tried Vines for a 12k service around the 10th May and the earliest they could do at the time was 14th July!!!!! In today at Chandlers though Guess where the next bike will be bought

Me too NOG to busy so brought all that was needed and done it my self, it's only an oil and filter change and final drive oil. At least the 6000 is easier to plan in advance.
Done the same on the last bike too no issues.
Need to get bike in for some warranty stuff and that also means waiting for a slot think they are a bit short staffed at the moment.

19th June was the earliest they could do at the time. Fine for me as I am off to Garmisch on the 1st July for a 2000 mile trip,

I know what you mean mines book in @ BS Alton on the 8th July and that was a 4 week wait, popped in Tuesday and they didn't seem that busy

And no Michelin Anakee 3's in the country according to them either

I had the same problem, called every dealer in South East at beginning of May and couldn't get anything until June. Managed to get a slot within a week at SBW Hertford. Kevin on service is a very helpful guy.

I'm suggesting / recommending you look at a long list of BMW authorised dealers, probably not so dissimilar to the authorised BMW dealer you have (despite being given 5,500 miles of impending service notice) failed to get yourself booked into in sufficient time for your impending jaunt.

@crapaud - Neil actually replied to my PM Unfortunately, Neil is not onto WC's as yet. The day he is, he's got my business.

Finally booked with NOG themselves as they had the earliest slot available - 14 July. All others - either, "we will call you back" and as expected no response ... or the slot available was later than 14th of July. Thanks all for your inputs.

Lesson learnt - book early - especially in summer !
