650 dakar fork spring swap

Hi folks,
I need to assist a mate in changing his girlfriends 650 Dakar fork springs for uprated ones. The manual doesn't show how to remove the fork springs. Can anyone advise how to do this, or provide a link to the info.

Not so difficult, get the bike on a stand with the front wheel hanging, undo the top nut on the fork, slowly as it might damage the thread as the nut is under tension of the spring.
you will also need to take the handle bars of, do one fork at a time, in the fork there is a thin bush take it out and then the fork spring.
You will also have to refill the forks with 550ml fork oil, and while you are at it change it to 10w.'
