Luckly I am okay, was only a spill at 40mph. My givi bars took the most of it! Mid corner and there was some cones on the edge of the road. Had to re-adjust my line his some crease, down she went!

First time i've been off!

Take care out there guys! :)

Bikes at the dealer, but when I get her back il put photos up of the engine bars, saved my bacon!
Cheers for the comments, bit shaken up! The ukgser taste of humor always cheers me up! :)

I had a good curry last night to aid recovery a milked all the sympathy possible from the girlfrien!

Glad you`re also ok Servedave.Seems that a set of engine bars are a must have in these dangerous times ! Get well soon :aidan

Glad you're OK. Make sure you get back out there ASAP - its the proverbial falling off a horse thingy.

:thumb2

Cheers for all the comments guys :) I only but the engine bars on a month a go. A rather wise investment.

I rode the bike back, so no problems getting back on! Also have a f800s till my bike is fixed! :bounce1

I was wearing a frank thomas X-terrian suit! Did the job as I had no unjuries. The suit has worn through on the left elbow and right knee. I'll post some pictures up when im not at work.

I'm now deciding what new suit to buy :)

Glad to know you're still in one piece.

You + GunZenBomZ have prompted me to look at crash bars, I don;t think the Givi bars cover the fairing either side of the false tank, do you find this a problem? How are you finding the Givi bars?

Haven't got enough money to put scaffolding up around the bike, givis might just be in my price range.

Sorry to hear about your 'off'....but pleased you are ok. :clap

First thing I did was put all bars possible around my bike....(previous for dropping the thing):blast

How about a bit of delayed shock kicking in next week to help you with a bit of further sympathy from the girlfriend.:augie

Stay safe

The Givi bars really saved my bacon! Still bent the bars, need a new indicator and tail light. But some damage would have been done hitting the car! Things would have been allot worse, the whole left hand side would have needed to be replaced. Also it protected me, I had no injuries what so ever.

In short, they're worth the 115 quid!

Thanks for the concern Morticia. My girlfriends been doing a great job at looking after me! Delayed shock has had its advantages! :)

Cool, it's about time I slapped some on mine but the larger bars that cover more of the upper fairing may interfere with my knee.

I have the extended bars to cover my 'upper plastics'...I worked on the theory, that the bars are cheaper to replace than the plastics...:)

I completely agree Morticia, just don't know if my lanky legs will fit on one with extended bars, will have to find an F800GS with some on and try it out.

:-)
