Looking for a permanent or switchable live for my gps on my XC.
Not keen on chopping into looms.
I have noticed to plugs on the bike doing nothing. One is at the top of the rear shock/fuel tank area, the other is at the rear of the seat unit. Any idea what these are for?
Could run a feed from the battery if there is not a existing supply point.

Thats what ive done tim ive got a TT power lead from the batery to the 550, got a quick release clamp for the cradle and just swap from bike to bike, TT lead is fused:thumb2

If you haven't additional power supply under the seat, there is a plug to attach one, and second plug for power supplying US required evaporation canister. Plug for under the seat power socket is always on (independent from ignition).

+1 for running off the battery.

Just pop the seat and side panel off, cable tie new lead alongside existing loom and away you go.
