the budget wont stretch to new in either model. Which do you recommend? I'm a bit of a nav numpty. Its for the new GS.

The 660 (NOH) from gobalgps ( formerly satnaveasy) is £325 or £370 with lifetime maps.
2nd hand Nav iv is almost like looking for hobby horse dung.

My GS is standard so doesnt have the thumb control

NOH jeez these things are cheap now, I rememberer when people paid a lot of cash for a 2610

i'd recommend the 660 with the lifetime maps, all you need comes in the box.:thumb
 
660 far better, I spent ages looking at this one, but at the end of the day if you use hardwired autocom then the 660 is the way to go. The cradle of the Nav 4 just causes too many difficulties with little return.
