I've got a chance to pick up a 660 rally, for what here in Turkey is a fantastic price. But, what are they like to live with? This has been raced at the Dakar, then rebuilt by KTM. It's done 3,000km on the road since then.

I don't intend to go endurance racing on it, but would use it with a 70/30 road/dirt bias. Is something like this too much work to keep going for such use?

If you have to ask, you prolly shouldn't buy it.

Simple motor
Superb suspension
Excellent sound system
Very tall
Quick on road and off
50+ mpg
3000 mile service intervals (oil & filter)

If its a steal then buy it, try it and sell it if you don;t like it - well bought is well sold ....

Friend went to see it. Turns out to be quite a mess as the last owner didn't do much to look after it. Shame, it would be have been a nice bike to own.
