Just been quoted £360 from Vines for a 6k and annual service

Does this sound about right for a GS12 (09 plate)? or should i be looking at an independant like Liphook servicing?

Richie

Thats a rip off.

I paid £200 at Coopers, this was for service only.

If it doesn't involve any brake fluid changes then it looks a bit expensive to me.

There again you've bought a £10k plus bike ......

And there's £25 for the hire of a bike on top?

Have they got pics of you in a compromising position?

RIPP OFF....... dealers should be around £215, they are taking the urine!!!!! :ronno

Annual service is a con and not needed if you cover more than 6K a year. It's just a check-over which will be done with the normal service. Just make sure you have the brake fluid changed every 2 years.

just been charged £271 for 6k +annual inc brake fluid change at coopers sunderland .wont be going there again lesson learned.

6000k Service

Just been quoted £250-£300 for my 6000 service from local dealer so will be calling on Steptoe again. He fettles the bits others don't so very good value for your hard earned pounds.

yeah. i was quoted 200 from mottorad so that place is taking the pee.

i still think this is too much for a first service. must be using golden filters or something.

I have done 3400 miles and my service and my annual service was due 31/03/10 will it void the warranty if i didn't do it because I'm likely to clock 6 k by the end of the summer. what do you think.

I was told recently that a month is an acceptable delay but anything outside that is too long.

Also, I'm told that BMW now specify an initial brake fluid change at 12 months and every 2 years thereafter.
