700 Miles

Get out on it

My GSA ‘garage queen’ which only comes out on sunny Sundays normally….was pressed into action for a tour of Normandy and Alsace, plus Black Forest and Mosel
2500 miles and thoroughly enjoyed taking it

Decided to just use it now

I’m very reluctant to sell it. You get so little for a very well sorted 1150 nowadays. The amount I’ve spent on it over the years I’ll never get back I know but it’s too good to sell. :D

Didn’t Mikeyboy do a lot of work on it ?
Yep, just over £6k’s worth in total.
It’s had everything replaced, all the transmission renewed, gearbox output shaft done ( and seal ), subframe strengthened and powder coated, heavy duty long splined clutch kit, it's got Ohlins front and back ( fully rebuilt ) I can go on and on!
You name it, I had it all done as a precaution.
It’s like riding a new bike. Mikeyboy did a fantastic job on it. :thumb2
The only thing it needs is a rear tyre because it’s squared off a bit.

'ow about , i do you a favour , you deliver it to M25/J9 before Friday night , i'll take her away for a holiday ?
i'll even let you wash it after i come back ?
how does that sound ?
Get stuffed! :D I don’t wash it. I carefully polish any dirt off.
I even clean it while I’m away on it.
You can spot any potential problems early on a clean bike. :thumb2

OK I'll give you 1500 quid for it.

I thought you were letting us know you'd had a 700 mile day...😆 Did a day like that last year on the old 11 and no, I didn't polish it.... Ever...🤣👍

I did 120 miles on my Ducati last year (I do have a Guzzi too) but there is absolutely noway I would sell it.In fact it's now in my will so that when I shuffle off this mortal coil it will go to my best mate.

If possible, keep the Bim,don't be too hasty, told you in another thread I have advice on hand for your post op knee replacement (it will probably be along the lines of......you MUST do all the exercises,no fucking around.......) but we'll compare notes afterwards

Thanks Udders. You've made me feel much better.
I only managed one decent 1500 mile trip from home, north west scotland, to auntie in exeter last year.
I've not even managed to get the MOT yet this year. The only good thing is I do a 3 hour run to Glasgow for the MOT.

I'm becoming aware of the weight of my 1100, but I need a physically large bike as I travel 2 up, so I am getting the miles in now - I don't want to get to a point where I haven"'t been everywhere I want to. 29 years, 100000 miles and not a single advisory.👍

Fabulous. Same colour scheme as my 850.
