traveling; all over, presently in thailand
took the 750gs out for a spin afte a month of sitting. Well it went no where quick; max 34kg/hr full throttle in any gear. Had to get pushed up a 40 deg incline hill that was 3 meters long. Went home in 2nd gear; full throttle, but still no power-speed.
Put it up on the center stand to run it today with same result.. max 34kg/hr or 18 mph; roughly. oil/water all ok.
it was just for bmw health checkup 2 months ago; but less than 50 km usage since then.
Any ideas ? I normally let it run 15 min a week; just for the battery; in neutral. It got seriously lonely !!

34 km/ hr seems too specific. Is it in some form of limp mode. Are there any error lights showing on the dashboard. If it was serviced 50 km ago I would be ringing them and asking them to look at it.

Agreed with MrC99 dont run a bike for 15 mins. The engine oil will not reach operating temperature and condensation can occour. If you want to keep it happy, place it on a battery tender every other week for a few hours.

Sorry my post should read ‘mice in air box’. I had this with a car and a mate with his motorbike.

Sounds like the throttle potentiometer has failed possibly, leaving the bike in limp mode.

This should throw a warning on the dash telling you to take the bike to a BMW workshop for investigation.
