Is there camping on site? Or nearby? I'm sure I can manage to find a camp site if left to my own devices if there's no "official" one :)

If you wish to join THE CLUB ( if not already a member) you can but its not compusary, you will be made welcome if your in or out.

Which airport

On the basis of time constraints, a general lack of geography knowledge and the chance of a group of 4 travelling by plane (someone else's I'm afraid which will have to be shared with 200 other pesants ), is Heathrow the closest airport to Andover or is there one closer?

Also, any recommendations on renting a 4 X 4 jeep (e.g. Touraeg, X5) and or a GS or two (its difficult to get these onto a plane) for a few days?

Me and my party are not from 'round there y'see.

Thanks

Jonny

We do have roads over here you know. Proper ones with tarmac and white lines.

You're having me on! Lahinch has a hard act to follow

But if I don't have a GS, how else am I going to manage the off-road run? (not wishing to prejudice any offer of a vehicle hire outfit). An X5 isn't that much wider than a GS ... If I go through first, it will clear the way for those following. Anyhow, I may need somewhere to slumber. I've a fear of tents in fields

Uh oh there goes the neighborhood - the Europeans have heard about it so the Eurotrash Division probably has to turn up too then :D
