800/650 BIG TANK

I just don't see the point in this. For the rare occasion outside Europe that you need to do 250 miles between fills just ease off on the throttle and you'll find that at 55mph the bike easily does 16 miles per litre.

On the once in a lifetime that you need more than that carry a disposable can. An extra 5 litres will give you another 80 miles.

Poor fuel range is dictated by the users who are usualy in built up areas and generaly don't use the bike for it's purpose.

Having to stop every two hours to fill up is a pain in the arse:rob

As for ugly ffs not the prettiest bike in the first place modelled on Plug out the Beano

Fit one for the same reason you don't go shopping at Tesco's every day.

A full tank on an 800 wouldn't get me to Tesco's, I'd have to stop and fill up half way:D

279 miles out of mine, full tank to push... no problems with that :thumb

Well not for me anyway

Wuzn't dawdlin' neither ;)

I'm getting about 190 - 200 range on average out of mine. I mainly do a 3 mile commute which is 10 mins of 30-40mph stuff with 6 traffic light stops and 5 mins of 50mph stuff.

Always a steady 55mpg on my daily 20 mile commute - averaging 20-30mph.

Assuming 16 litre tank gives 195 mile range.
Assuming you cram in 17 litres, gives a range of 205 miles.

Had a 70 mile bimble out on Saturday with some motorway and A/B roads, MPG climbed to 60.
This would then give a range between 212 and 225 miles.

This is borne out cos I tank up almost exactly every 200 miles. :)

12mph average speed Jon.... you'd be better off pushin it , you'd get there quicker and your fuel economy would be fekkin unbelievable :D
