800 GS gear lever

Has anybody got a gear lever for the 800GS that they do not need? I find it a bit long and it is wearing out the stitching on my toe piece. I want to remove 1/2" and weld it back together. If so let me know how much you want for it.

I might have chucked it but I have or had a slightly bent one that I replaced. It was missing its rubber covering though. I'll have a look tomorrow (Wednesday) and see if it's lurking in the pile of stuff I keep meaning to sort out and ebay one day (I'd want postage only though).
