Anyone had one? :nenau
Have the chance of a nice loaded one, luggage, trip comp etc for a good price. Sue likes the look of it so thinking of getting it for her. Can do a bit of touring this year. then wean her on to a 800GS :D for next summer. (only way I'll get two bikes again)

So any thoughts greatfully accepted :thumb2

Had a loaner for a full day. Lovely engine, economical, smooooth belt drive, comfy, pokey enough and I liked it a lot. Soft forks was the only downside, but I guess they would be easily sorted.

Have a word with Mort, he's done around 18K on his.

Good points...60mpg and all day comfy.

Bad points..... belt drive can be a bit snatchy if you are not smooth with the throttle/clutch and warranty issues, mine has had EWS failed (of course) new swing arm, mirrors, steering damper, footrests, rear sprocket thingy....oh and did I mention new engine casings and pistons at 15000 miles:eek

The warranty runs out this month and it going:mad:

Sorry if you didn't want to read something like this, I'm not a fanny who thinks he's buying perfection but I expect better than this. It really is a nice bike to ride and it has only left me stranded once. I sold my 1200 last year for similar reasons.

Good luck with your choice:thumb2

I had one as a loaner as well. Good handling, plenty of punch from the engine. But too small for a full sized person.
