89 R100 GS Twin Throttle Cables

Re the twin throttle cables on the 89 R100GS, there is a long and short cable, does it make a difference which cable connects where on the cam disc inside the handle unit?
ie long cable on the bottom, short on the top?

its to do with the carbs

IF I recollect correctly the long one runs across the headstock and round to the right side carb
