just bought this

£1200, its just had an £800 Baines racing engine rebuild, new tyres, some bling, all carb/ electric mods and all pipes/cables replaced.

Guess if they are as bad as they say it should break Ok

i had one of the very first white framed models, great bike

ok, the gearbox failed at 12K, ducati didn't want to know, so i had to rebuild it myself. at least it was an easy engine to work on.

the paint fell off. ducati didn't want to know.

the swing arm pivot was loose and all the replacement parts were the same. ducati tried to fix it, but gave me a bent MOT instead

had new carbs under warranty ("ducati factory trained mechanic's" fault).

two clutches under warranty. if yours screeches, i know how to fix them now

i sold it. bit concerned when i bumped into the guy who bought it some time. as it turned out, he'd done over 30K on it with no bother at all

kind of wish i'd hung onto it. used to service a bronze frame one for a guy, went well and sounded awesome with Termis

yours looks like a bargain
