Probably my favourite edition, congrats. These are uber reliable. Some titanium pipes an a akka next? Afxied units improved low throttle response but generally if its to spec, superb bike!

Great bike, had mine 5 years and was purchased from Cymru-Dave off the forum. It’s been a fantastic bike and defo a keeper.

As everyone is saying the pinnacle of BMW, I keep looking at an Urban just for the oil cooled motor with its characteristics.Enjoy

The post is in the 1200 technical problem section. Has it broken down already ?

Sorry it’s in the wrong place ,just happy that I bought a lovely GS and wanted to share the joy.

Great bikes, mine is just coming up to it's 9th birthday :), I have owned it from new. The only problem I have had is the 90 Year Anniversary badge fell off!

Great bikes. Had my GSA a long time, fixed anything that went wrong myself, it just keeps thundering on.

Only advice is that if it ever feels a bit under powered, runs a bit rough or struggles to accelerate above 80 its worth modding the fuel pump housing by drilling out the internal fuel filter and fitting a metal external filter from an 1150. Did this to mine recently and it transformed it:

Enjoy the bike. :thumb2

I thought the same about the speed it does feel underpowered at times, I wasn't sure of it was similar obs like a Pan Euro as in, you may think your going slow but actually you're above legal speeds because of the aerodynamics. We all know there's not one do it all bike, and if there was they wouldn't need to make another but a cracking overall bike that can do many types of riding

Well done for ‘taking the plunge’ Brian. I’m sure you will have many reliable and enjoyable miles on her.....

Best bike I have ever owned and seriously regret selling mine. As has been said by others, AXFIED units transform the fuelling and really give the bike some more punch.
