94 r1100gs newbie

wasnt there 2 1100,s, one wi lambda, one wiout? was there other diffrences maybe??? however that pic(crimbo,s) looks like my 1150 footrest, have u bought a "ringer"?

yes there were 1100's with a lambda - but they were 'imports' not official UK bikes.

think you need a different gearbox to fit the 1150 pegs and the 1150 gearbox doesn't fit the 1100.... i think

you're right and well spotted.. thats definitely not an 1100 footrest. curiouser and curiouser... this is a bike with an interesting story to tell....

Simple question - where is your ABS reset button. On the handlebar controls or on the instrument dash.

The frame maybe an 1100, but everything else looks like an 1150.

Looking at what can be seen of the subframe to gearbox mounting, it doesn't look like an 1100. But if it isn't someone has gone to a lot of trouble to make some sort of 11xx hybrid?...

There was one for sale on E bay a while back that looked like a 1150 but was registered as a 1100. The owner said he had changed the headlight but the footrest etc were also 1150. Could it be this one? A search on here could find the ebay number.

yes this is the one that was on ebay in august.
the chap i bought it from told me that it has had 1150 clocks and lights fitted. have rang him to try to find out a bit more info ie has it got a differnt loom as well.
said he will ring me this afternoon. thinks the prevous owner may have played with it. have hpi the bike its ok.

Listen. You have an 1150. The only 1100 part is the front frame section.

It will be cos that's definitely an 1150 gearbox. Which just as Steppers says, means it's basically an 1150.

Not without a load of faff (more faff than most people are prepared to endure).

As Steptoe said, your bike is almost certainly an 1150 (engine, gearbox, final drive and electronics) with an 1100 front frame (for some reason?)

looking a bit dodgey, like its a 1150 thats been crashed with a 1100 front end bolted on, hope you got it cheap
