Took a 990 SM for a pin last year, fell in love. Looking at getting a 950 or 990 sm in time for summer.

Anyone got one or have any feedback on these bikes?

Test rides are different to owning one.

Never ridden a 990 but owned a 950 SMR

Best handling bike I've ever owned .... I used to find myself going in to corners about 20 mile per hour faster than I ever could on my 1050 Speed Triple

Everyone should own one at some point :thumb2

A very underrated all round bike i think. All the reports and tests you read will say ,awesome, can't stop grinning etc. But they are so much more than a tool to go for a blast on. With a few add ons, screen, handguards and some work done to the seat[Tony archer or similar],they are a brilliant all rounder. I have had two 950sm .My current one I have fitted with trax racks and alluminium panniers for a European trip. I have only ridden the 990smt which is the better all round bike to go for.
Any of the models flatter your riding, the engine braking then the drive from the V-twin makes for very fast progress on twisty sections.A Lot more flickable than a GS,good though they are.
You won't regret getting one and 4k will buy a good 950.

My mind is made up, I've made room in the garage next to my 1150GS for one.
