So here's the thing.
My old brake disks were crap, rusty and did I mention crap?
Not only did they corrode when you only even dared to blink, but my right brake disk was a bit wobbly. Checked all the bolts and bits and everything, but it didn't seem to be anything that had gone loose. They were already on the bike when I bought it, due to circumstances I didn't use it as much, so I decided to leave it be until I had the money to replace it and ride it more often.
A couple of weeks ago, I had the bike MOT'ed and replaced the disks with new ones (ok, had them replaced, since the guy was doing the MOT anyway
) and when he took it for a test drive, after replacing the disks, he also noted that the right disk was wobbly. In some way I was glad to hear that it wasn't just me, but it did leave me with a wobbly disk.
There appears to be nothing wrong with the new (and old, for that matter) disk(s) and nothing really wrong with anything, really. When starting to install the disks, everything fits perfect, however, as soon as you fasten the bolts, and get the disk into place, it starts to wobble again. There might be a small production error of some kind, I don't know...?
Are there any experiences with this 'phenomenon' and solutions to the problem? It is not life threatening or anything, but it just doesn't feel right.
