The Blackwater Hall (Blackloonies event hall) near Bridge of Cally has been booked for Saturday 12th November 2011 for the Nakambale Swallie. As usual, it's a tenner pppn for accomodation and eats will be charged separately.

All syndicate members are invited along with one guest each. I'll PM everyone individually to sort out who's coming.

The plan is to see how many bottles are left over from a clean division of total bottle yield by 12 (the number in the syndicate) and these will be brought to the hall to drink among the folk attending. If there aren't many "spare", we might need to donate a bottle from each syndicate member's allocation :thumb2

Oh, and one more thing: I know that one or two folk are bringing female guests. No problem but bear in mind, "all female" bunk rooms might be restricted to one room of 4 beds and then they'll have to shut their eyes and sleep wi' the men folk

I'll also bring along a bottle of my stash of Bruichladdich X4 at 64.6 ABV / 113% proof- purely for scientific reasons:thumb2

Probably missed it in the detail but where do we go to pick up our bottles? I assume no one is bringing it all to the Swallie. I may be able to pick up for one or two others if need be (for a small liquid tax :augie) depending where and when

And when do we have to pay for it all, need time for cheques to clear etc I guess

And do we need to practice for the Swallie event? :jager

I recently spoke to Packer about this very subject:

Packer has to sent me the final invoice when he knows how much tax etc we'll have to pay. That happens after the whisky is bottled.

Everyone then pays me.

I pay Packer. Once this has all cleared, we can get oor whisky :D

We then arrange to pick our bottles up from the plant.

Not long now :jager

A week this Wednesday will reveal how many bottles we have and how much we have to pay for them but today I received this info...

"We have regauged the Craggy this morning and have a strength for label of 56.4%"

i.e. our 70cl NAKAMBALE bottles will contain Cragganmore at a cask strength of 56.4%.

Ya Dancer!!! :D
