The less people who turn up to uplift the whisky means the less paperwork involved for Packer.

AndyT has kindly offered to uplift the entire consignment of bottles on our behalf. I'll go with him :D. This will probably be on 10th or 11th November.

They will then be delivered by Andy to the Blackloonies Hall for the Nakambale Swallie on 12th November. That gives us a full 2 weeks between bottling (26/10/11) and finding out the Duty due, getting all the monies in, me paying Packer and taking delivery.

I appreciate that a couple of syndicate members can't make the Swallie. I'll PM them and organise their shares.

On A School Night Tae...

The sacrifices I make...

I never drink on a school night but due to having had a wee delivery of this very special whisky today in the post, I'm away to have a dram. I hope it tastes as good as it smells.

:D :D :D

I doubt if anyone will be disappointed. It's a beautiful dram. Even drinking it neat at cask strength, it's smoother than a smooth thing. No thrapple burning which is unusual at that strength. With a dash of water, it's even smoother.

Can we accept that as endorsement of the product and authority to schedule bottling?

Unlike me @ 62 preferring the breasts to bottles...... still.:rob

I hope Packer posts pics of the first bottles :JB

BREAKING NEWS: Our whisky has now been bottled. Our cask yielded 298 x 70cl bottles which gives us 24 bottles each and 10 left over to be put on the table for the Nakambale Swallie.

I still await a final cost to see what we each owe :thumb2

Time is marching on and (hopefully) our whisky is maturing nicely :jager
