but 108mph on a slight downhill was no problem, cruising at 75-80 is not working the engine hard

There is still one broken spoke in the rear wheel which I shall get relaced at some stage, meantime I shall just take it easy :

Which one? The concrete one is within 2 miles of you! The one beside the bridge is on the Rugeley road, just over the reservoir and down the hill at Bellamour - turn LEFT on the right hander signed for Colton, within 400 yards of the junction. Just jumping on the bike now to run up to Ripley.
