I don't quite know how I did it, but I managed to talk Mandy into a wee run out today. She doesn't like the cold, but now that she has really good riding gear she decided to go.
Despite being chilly, it was bright and sunny as we headed for Newry so we turned off for Omeath and stopped at Greer's Quay.
Lifting mussels with Rostrevor in the background.
Looking over at Killowen Point
View out to sea with Greencastle on the left and Greenore on the right. It was as still as a mill pond today.
Clipper Point sitting on her berth in Warrenpoint ready to sail to Heysham this evening.
The views from Black Mountain would have been great today, but we decided to stay on the lower ground where there was less chance of frost.
On through Carlingford to Dundalk we went, then through Forkhill to Mullaghabawn where my mate Jim has just bought a wee place with nice views of Sliabh Gullion
and the Ring of Gullion.
From Mullaghbawn we rode home via Camlough and Newry. Only about 70 miles, but great to be out.
