A cheaper alternative. BITB

I used to put tins of beans and sausages on top of the van engine in winter. By the time I'd got to the next stop dinner was ready. Lol.

Stupid I know, but always thought there must be some way to warm food from the engine.
Before a morning game drive, a couple of croissants in foil, laid in the V if a V8 Landy engine….after an hour they are perfectly heated.

Not sure whether it’s still available but The Manifold Cook Book used to be available in SA.

Looks like you’re just looking for breakfast.
We carry a packet of porridge oats and some squeezy honey.
Pop into a shop for a banana and peach and 2 small pots of yoghurt.
Raw oats, fruit, yogurt, honey and a small drop of water - it’s what we eat every morning at home, delicious and just as easy on the road.
Enjoy

Whether touring in the UK or Europe on the side roads, you always come upon an Aldi or Lidl store near a town. Sometimes hypermarkets to fuel up as well. A quick snack, coffee and a purchase for the evenings meal.

Not for me thanks. I’m not a fan of rabbit food. A good, dry cured bacon sandwich would be my choice of breakfast.
We were discussing this type of food yesterday. Many people are allergic to stuff like that. How many people do you know that are allergic to meat?

How come ?
Properly allergic ?
Meat - Just dislike what it is or how it’s farmed
Prefer not to consume other animals ?
How come what?
Yeah allergic, just like people are allergic to kiwi fruit etc. causing anaphylactic shock.
Nah not dislike. See above.
