Hi all,

Looking for a bit of advice. Thus far, I can see my options are one of the following 4.

1. 1150 GS/GSA for roughly 3-4k. Not ideal, as I don't like the looks as much, and down on power.

2. 2004 1200GS, good as like the looks, a bit more power, and can be had for 4-5k.

3. 2006 1200GSA - definately what I'm looking for really, but can't find anything decent for less than 6k, and it will take me some time to get that money together.

4. Save up for 2 years and get a 2010+ GSA, for the extra horsepower and more goodies. Definately cannot go that long, so its a non-option really.

Money wise, I'm trying to sell my current bike, a Triumph Sprint ST 1050, for hopefully £3,800, but will take £3,500. I've seen a number of 2004 GS1200's for £4-4.5k which are in budget.

I do really want the Adventure though, for the extra height and bulky looks, the 33l tank and generally all the adventure goodies. Downside, is I will have to save up quite a bit longer.

The only GS I've rode is my uncles 2011 1200 GSA with all the fancy features. And I bloody well loved it, i was hooked within minutes. Definately my type of bike. I may be young, but a big feller and it definately suits me. I can handle the size and weight of the thing :)

So, what do you recommend guys? Should I take option 1 on the cheap, and deal with it for 2 years then get the newer GSA I really want?

Or, save now and try and do option 3? Is the 2006 GSA that much better than the 04 GS?

Thanks in advance for any advice,
Dan

P.S. heres me on my old Tiger 955i, my first jaunt into the adventure bike scene. I really miss it :( But it lacks on front suspension, which is why I got rid, and partly why I now want a GS!
