Hi all knowing tossers,

I have been getting a consistant flat battery if left for over a week or so . New BMW gel batttery a couple of months ago . Tested battery / alternator - all ok .

Does the audio ( mp3 - 2.5 mm lead ) take a draw if left plugged in ?? :nenau

It's starting to p*ss me off , :spitfire

Eliminating one thing at a time, I'm staring to run out of idea's ,

Cheers,

If you still have the 1150, then it would need to be connected to a permanent live to drain the battery??.
If you have a 1200 then its the same even if its connected to the canbus power plug?.
It needs a switched live to save the battery??.

Sorry fella's .. not very well explained by me ...

Bike - 1150GS ADV'

Power taken from lower accessory socket, so auto com should not be recieving live when ignition is off as I understand,

Question is... does the unit " wake up " when the audio lead is plugged into the unit ( and left coiled up under the seat ready for use on next ride ) thus killing the battery ..... or does it " wake up " when I connect to my mp3 player and it recieves the audio signal??

Thanks to those who have replied ,

Chears guys ,
