A Day Out in Oregon

Excellent write up Martin - but when did you ablute? :D

Evergreen has changed a lot since I was last there - I'll definitely get the tour around the Goose when I next visit - no-one was allowed inside when I was last there...

Forgot to add that these balls , which are actually wooden are just some of the ballast from the wing pontoons

Thanks for that, so much design, engineering and manufacture for an aircraft with so little flying time.

I missed the falls in 2016 despite driving down the Colombia river gorge :( I was focused on reaching the Rowena Crest Viewpoint which was on the front cover of a motorcycle touring book

The Evergreen museum was much more interesting back then as they had loads of WW2 warbirds that have been sold off since due to financial issuesDSC00669.jpegDSC00660.jpegDSC00604.jpegDSC00688.jpeg

Enjoyed that, reminds me of the days I worked at the museum at RAF Cosford, all those aircraft with lots of history behind them.

super pics of the falls. Great to be there almost alone and take it all in. fab day out ,
