As per the thread in the Pub, I'm suggesting an informal meet in Moffat, 25 to 27 April.

There are two campsites, including the Green Frog where they've set an area aside. To book, send them an email and mention you're with UKGSER

There are also plenty of hotels, including the Buccleuch which some folk know about. They have a few rooms that weekend, including 2 quad rooms so if you're fortunate enough to have friends, that might work. Give them a phone and again, mention you're with UKGSER.

There are plenty other places to stay in Moffat. If you book something can you please post on here and say so so I can keep a list of folk planning to come.

Nothing else is planned, do your own thing, make up your own entertainment and meet some of the folk from here. Keyboard warriors don't need to bring their keyboards.

Friday 25 April, 5pm in the bar in the Buccleuch Hotel. See you there.

I would love to come, had a look at the green frog and they've nothing until May for 2 man tents and a bike. Is this because they've kindly reserved them for us?

Also, now booked into Buccleuch Arms for 2nts. 5pm at the bar sounds a good plan…😊🍻

I'd love to go, however I shall be in parts more foreign than even Jockland.

I look upon your expedition into deepest Portugal with great enthusiasm if you stumble upon ATT. I now liken you to Henry Morton Stanley in search of Dr Livingstone.

Hotel booked. See you all on Friday 25th April, 17.00 hours at the nominated establishment.

I'll hunt him down. His head mounted above the fireplace would make a most handsome trophy (gagged and with an orange stuffed in his mouth of course) :D

Ah well ... Noo then... I'll bet you didnae ken that the person who was the first to meet DL on that expedition is buried in a cemetery in Lanark?

Not a lotta people know that! :D
