Grtz, Philip!

Hi Philip

It was good to meet you and your brother this summer. Love the film of the Mangart-it really is a fantastic road and deserves to be better known. And what a day you had for it! It's just over an hour from here so I try to get there when I can.

Are you going to post your film of the Nockalmstrasse? And if you do can I link to it (and the Mangart one) from our website?

John

Dammit Thats somewhere else I shall have to go ! Better get a new pair of PR3s fitted first . Just when I think I have done enough touring to these far off places I watch this and it gives me ideas for next year.

Hey John,

Good to hear from you, had a great stay at your place, good memories :friday

Just checked, have around 40min. of raw footage of the Nockie Mountainroad, looks like enough to brew a five to ten minute movie :thumb
And of the Vrsic road, and Cason di Lanza, and this one, and that one :D
Just the GGlockner didn't really work out, pourring rain and the thickest of fog I've ever seen. Ohw, and the fact that my helmet camera was still at your place didn't help either :blast

Linking is no prob, once I get my site up and running, I'm gonna post a link to your place as well.

Grtz, Philip!

Glad the postal system worked and you got your camera back-you showed me some of your Nockalmstrasse footage-really good with the two bikes riding at a decent pace. You will just have to come back again and film the Grossglockner!

Ride safe

John

Hi Yodagoat, I'm using one of the first Contours, the 720HD version. Nowdays no longer available, only the Full HD versions. So the image would even be better with the Contours of today.

Only the parts which were filmed when not riding the bike are with different camera's. On the Mangart movie, the part where I'm walking to the ledge (actually, it's my brother walking and filming, but that's just a minor detail) is filmed with a Kodak Zx1, a nice little Full HD camera, the size of a cellphone. On the Stelvio, where you can see me riding up to the Tibetter Hutte, it's once again my brother filming, but this time with his Full HD handycam, I think it's a Panasonic orso, don't know really.

With those modern HD and Full HD cameras available all around us, the world is just a click away :D

Grtz, Philip!
