I am reassembling on the sets of wheels for my GS, after Mr @Slipperyeel extremely kindly and patiently re-tensioned the spokes and trued both wheels.
This is my "road" set of wheels, and when I bought them I did buy a new set of Brembo discs from Motorworks (the old discs are on the other set of wheels).
Couple of question:
Looks like I might have, at the time, installed wrong bobbins, as these are a tad short. The Brembo discs are a bit thicker than the originals. While this didn't cause any problems in the miles done so far, I'd rather reassemble everything with the correct bobbins.
Second question is regarding the spacers/washers.
The manual indicates: hub > black washer (small hole) > disc > black washer (larger hole) > spring washer > bobbin bolt.
Does the first black washer go on the other side where the reluctor ring is? So: hub > reluctor ring > black washer and so on?
I don't remember and I wanted to double check.
I also lost a couple of washers today in the process of moving things around, so I have to order some shit from Motorworks and will complete this during the week.
This is the front from the other set of wheels... pretty sure on these ones I just randomly threw some bits together
and there is a few spacers missing, but will have to disassemble and re-assemble these ones as well to replace bearings, also those discs are beyond shot (original discs of the GS, >75k miles).
