If mounting bolts are adjusted properly so that the paniers clip on tight/They dont fall off,Well mine havent! :thumb

Agree with streaky, if the pannier mounts are correctly adjusted the panniers are fine. Mine didn't even come loose after I binned the bike in a muddy field :D

pannier story . . . .

box no 1 - lock flew out en-route. Replaced. Carry handle snapped whilst walking to the office (box empty at the time)

box no 2 - lock flew out en-route. Replaced. Box flew off in South London after hitting a big pot hole. Courier chased after me to tell me & I managed to find it - it had bounced onto the pavement. Box still intact (unlike my bags of Tesco shopping  . . . . .) but lock flew out. no surprise.

Closer examination shows that the "jesus bolt" (helicopter term for one-bolt-holds-it-all-together-or-you-die) holding it all together fastens onto a PLASTIC attachment - which snaps and then it's game over. :(

Vario-no-box system. Step away.......

Pretty poor really . . . . .

On the + side you can fit one instead of the back seat, which I like a lot, but you can't fit two one-behind the other.

My 1200 GS (12 months old, 8,500 miles) is currently getting the gearbox / ignition / speedo / gear indicator / electrics / electronics etc fixed. Again.

The loan bike (1200GS) has self-cancelling indicators. Quite amusing really.
