This is the "Filter Plus" from Nippy Normans which will set you back £12 Inc P&P +VAT (filter not included):-

This is a standard R1150GS filter with a 20x2 mm ultra strong magnet glued to its base (you could probably get away without the glue but I'm playing it safe) which costs £5.44 for 8 delivered from eBay:-

And yes they are ultra fecking strong ... Look Mum, No Hands!

Okay strictly speaking it will cost you roughly £6, but for this you get 8 oil changes or about 40,000 miles for your money
So why would you fit one... Well this is what FilterPlus have to say:-
"This powerful magnet sticks to any steel spin-on filter. All the microscopic ferrous particles that the oil filter element cannot hold will stick to the inside of the filter. These knife-like particles, if not removed from the oil circulation will slowly rip up the paper element of your filter and then cause engine wear. When changing oil filters the metal elements stay inside the oil filter and the FILTERPLUS can be transferred to the new oil filter. Result - longer engine life with less breakdown".
