A good day out on Boxing Day

We are off on Boxing Day for our annual jaunt to the Witley MCC Boxing day Enduro at Weavers Down near Longmoor, Hampshire.

Only a walk round for us though.. too old for all that falling off.
Some good riders entered... including Mika Vesterinen who was 3rd in the Junior World Cup (Trials) in 2004. His dad is a previous trials world champion.

A good way to walk off the Christmas pud and see other folk getting stuck in the mud and falling off...

I've visited the link, never been to this type of meet before but still not sure what the attraction is - got any inside knowledge details of why I should visit. (bearing in mind the climate !! Are you going ??

Bob. If you haven't been to an enduro before I guess you could liken it to a long distance motor-x but it's more of a time trial.
The winner is basically who has ridden the furthest.

It's all very cross country... different terrain at Weavers Down.. all army land.. through the tress, up hills, open blasts, forest tracks, mud, big (and I mean big) puddles etc.

So for a Boxing Day outing it means a good (longish if you want to) walk with some lunatics on bikes to watch as you go....

Yes, Mrs Dabber and me will be going (therefore by car I'm afraid).
We know several of the riders and organisers so that makes it especially interesting for us.

Joyseeker is interested in going I know (JS I've returned your PM).

Good walk over Weavers Down today... plenty of riders..... met up wih Joyseeker as well... those 1200 guys aren't so bad when you get to know them
