A kind reminder needed on this blue wiring connection.

Wasn’t sure if it was to do with installing an OEM alarm system. Located under the tank.

Do you have a permanently on dipped beam?

IIRC the Rockster has that connection and I've a funny feeling it's for the light switch that used to be on the right side control unit. (see older bikes pre-permanently on riding lights).

No. But, when I got the bike, there was an additional on/off switch for the headlight installed on left side. The right side handlebar switch has a blanked off cover.

What I did not check before putting tank back on was whether that blue connector has a switchable live wire.

Yes that is part of the Old OE alarm

Blue Red & Blue Black are the indicators

Green with Black stripe is Ign Power

But I am buggered if I can recall what the Orange is for without my books

EDIT What colours go into the Blue Plug??
 
Yeah that's the indicator circuits

If you touched a circuit probe and feed 12v +ve to one of teh two wires then each pair of indicators on a side will illuminate
 
The amount of knowledge on this site is incredible and never ceases to amaze.
