A mind-numbingly boring bulb question

I've just replaced the dipped beam bulb. The manual clearly shows the locating lug at the bottom whereas on my bike its at the top.

Does this matter? ie Will it affect the beam pattern?

Do I care? Does anybody care? What is the meaning of life?

Full is at bottom, dip at top (on the bike that is) on mine. Funny,
