Some weeks back device didn't recognise SD card that's been in for a few years so when updating maps so just selected Northern Europe which installed to 660 on-board memory.
I recently tried re-installing full coverage maps and formatting the SD card but no change in results. Left overnight but system doesn't progress past this step 1 point.
Zumo still functions with Northern EU map but not able to install any other map.
All suggestions gratefully received.

Thanks, I have unplugged and removed battery after leaving overnight system warns of catastrophic results but when nowt happens what else can you do?
8GB that has been working fine with full Europe mapping and no MP3's added

I would suggest you try a new SD card.

Uninstalled and Re-Installed Garmin Express and now system in busy installing full EU mapping. Result I think?
