A new ferry to Denmark?

This looks a lot like a new ferry to Denmark starting next April.

The prices and the timetable look attractive. My only concern is that the website looks a bit antiquated. If their ships are anything like the website, they'll probably be running paddle steamers.

Thanks, that's a good price for the distance, shame they don't run to France and Spain too.

DFDS wasn't too bad price wise unless you wanted a cabin or feeding... Not looked at the website but if they offer reasonably priced cabins and food that'll do for me

Agree; not even obvious where they sail from, but after digging deeper, it would seem travelling from Harwich - Esbjerg, but even that's not clear.

If you click on the ' Timetable ' tab, departs from Harwich 1800hrs Sat / Tues / Thurs arriving Esbjerg 1300hrs.
Returning Fri / Mon / Wed.
From Easter 2015.

Wow, that's a lot cheaper than the DFDS ferry, do you have to sleep in a container? But that website is very basic.
Denmark is good to visit anytime, the people are friendly and they do great pastries. But you can also use it as an easy way to access southern Sweden over The Bridge as there are no ferries form the UK to Sweden anymore, there used to be one that went from Newcastle. You used to be able to get a boat from Immingham too, not a passenger ferry and they had very basic sleeping accomodation but was cheap.

IMPORTANT MESSAGE TO ALL POTENTIAL GUESTSWe had planned to use M / S Regina Baltica and everything was ready and planned, BUT the company that chartered the vessel currently have extended their contract with the company, so we can not get the wessel delivered before 20th July 2015 and the first departure can first be in mid-August 2015.Then we lose the entire season.We are in the process of finding another wessel, so we can start the service as planned for Easter 2015.Of course we can not take bookings until we have a wessel to the route.Keep an eye on this page. All who have written to us, will receive an email from us when we are ready again.

Does anyone know what the latest is on this please. We had scheduled a trip in to Sweden in late June and are getting to the point where we need to have the crossing booked as there will be several of us. I contacted Regina last week but no reply. Feels like it isn't going to happen but wondered if any other news. Next best alternative is ferry to Hook of Holland I think and longer ride to Copenhagen.

There's a problem with the Wessel, still in use somewhere else, the website is place to register your interest.

If you're planning a trip you need to contact the company and confirm - it's looks unlikely if there not taking bookings now.

Go from Harwich to the Hook on Stenaline, off the boat at about 7-7:30am you'll be as far as Hamburg in 4+ hours.
