I thought I had seen a thread on this excellent Ukgser forum called 'Then and Now'. But I couldn't find it so I had to post my pictures here.

The leaders look very good Dave. I still have the works pre production prototype. It was registered in 1957 to Ariel and owned by them until 1962. :beerjug:

Pics please? Always liked the Leader. More DKW heritage of course but Ariel Fuhrer would not have down at all well in the 50s!

Beautiful.

I was looking at one of these in Ciderford the other day. No fairing, cream in colour with just over 400 miles on the clock.

Apparently the original owner had an accident on it and never rode it again! put in the shed and forgot about it.

Now soon to be lovingly restored to showroom condition by mate John.

I had a Leader once over, I remember it stood in the garage, I have no idea what became of it :nenau
