to John Nicholson.
Who helped me to sort out my Xcountry.

Rare are the times in my life when I have had the privilege to meet such an exceptional, modest and hugely knowledgeable person.

My having bought an Xcountry from an unmentionable member of this parish who told me that it was a 'sweet bike' ... so 'sweet' that it has, to date, cost me more than I have paid him for it to sort out problems with it...
Without Johns' on going support and hands on to put it right, it would still be languishing in my garage.

To give just one example. when he found that one of the main engine support bolts was seized, he calmly drilled it out. Skill like that is a pleasure to experience.

John my friend, you are a Gentleman and a Scholar and I hope others seek you out.
Thank you just doesn't cover it.

Hi, I can only agree wholeheartedly with what Bert has written, above and beyond doesn't do him full justice, so Thank you John, both for the brilliant X Moto and the service to my X Country. Much appreciated. Cheers :beerjug: John B

John has helped me out with both the X Challenge and the X Country. His tyre recommendation of the MEFO explorers is spot on too. They are lasting well and grip perfectly well enough on tarmac, but give reasonable off road grip, for the type of terrain I tackle anyway, more adventurous folks might need MT21s or similar! I must venture up and see him for the ride he has promised me, a different one to last time which was along Hadrian's Wall.
