Having set a goal of getting from Calpe (near Alicante, Spain to Calais) in 2 days we managed 579 miles yesterday, staying just short of Bordeau last night, we rode all day in stunning sunshine although with temps down as low as 5Deg.
A damp start this morning just before day break (8am!) saw us cracking out the miles nicely at a fairly lesurley pace of about 80Mph, a couple of hours later and I'm thinking Mmmmm lunch in Le Mans sounds like a good idea, so whilst cruising along I manage to find Arnarge on the Slut Nav and as I hit the go button I get a red warning triangle on the dash LOW TYRE PRESSURE ! Bollocks, I've got puncture :blast

We pull up in a farmers gateway to sort things out. Luckley I've been carrying one of those 'Stop 'n' Go' repair kits for the last 5 years, so time to give it a try. I must say it saved my bacon today, and although it took 3 canisters of gas to get 1.2Bar back in the tyre, it held pressure and got us to the next service station to get more air to top it up.

The up shot is
1. The warning system works, it told me there was a problem before I ended up on my arse at 80mph:thumb2
2. I'll never go anywhere without the repair kit stashed on the bike !

Were on the ferry home in the morning and back the real world with work and proper problems, but for now I'm alive and have ridden nearly 1100 miles in 2 days HAPPY DAYS :bounce1
