The Flatracer brace fits over a 21" G/S wheel.
Not much clearance but it has never been a problem. They make a nice matching little front guard too.
Wasted unless you have a billet top yoke , cheap SJ one fits. If you have a hacksaw and file to cut it down a little, indicator brackets simply flipped and the tag bent. Then- no flex.
G/S forks are unbushed and will be flapping a little by now so no need to align the brace, it helps if the wear is all pulled to one side!
I like EBC HH pads but they are soft and wear out the disk quickly, only got 260,000 km out of the last, a 320 mm wave.
Only replacement I could find at the time was the expensive HE kit , ordered from Motern I complete with the Lucas pads , and not quite as good as the old set up, power or feel.
My MC was sleeved to 11 mm to suit the short levers BMW fit, improves power and feel, which is just as important.
Stock caliper works fine, gets the small sintered pads up to temp quickly , which is important, tried a four pot bit it didnt work as well with the sintered pads.
Then , as is usually the case, I discovered a Aussie disk manufacturer who will make disks to pattern, for 40% of the cast of the HE kit!
Been riding a RE Himalayan for the past 30,000 km so I have been annoying he shit out of the guys on the Hima forum instead of here!
