On the very Early R80G/S 1981 ..
Were the standard fitment handlebars . Gloss Black Tomaselli enduro bars.
Or a chrome Enduro Bar ?

This is from the original launch brochure. You can tell it's an early one because they hadn't even made a pannier frame for the left hand side. That came later. If you read the blurb on the first page it says the electric start was an optional extra. The g/s weight is quoted without the electric start and larger battery to make the bike seem lighter than it is.

I wonder are they " Tomaselli "
The reason i ask is there is a pair of Toamselli on Deutch Blag at the
minute , being sold as Std Fitment for the G/S .
 
Does it say how much they were new (the bikes) Rob? I wonder if it was comparable back in the day to me buying a new 1200GS now.....
